This has been somewhat of an issue as we have to fit in other components. The battery arrangement may now look like this, simply so as to fit the required batteries in the available space….

It has been a headache; having neat rows of batteries would have been ideal but they are taller than your average deep-cycles. Oversized by only a few inches can make all the difference and something always got in the way, most notibly the height would have been too close to the underside of the hood.

Best use of available space.
This configuration may change again as we get the best placement of the ancillary components. There’s always an issue of resistance when separating batteries, so cabling must be as short as possible. If I do another EV conversion, it’ll be on a pickup truck – all the batteries can sit on the tray!
